The Mod Poppy | Large 5BR | 10 Mins to Waco Sights

We had a very disappointing and concerning start to our stay. Upon check-in, the property was completely unprepared for guests: there was leftover food in the microwave, hair on the floors, dead bugs behind the nightstands, and both live and dead cockroaches throughout the home. Most alarmingly, we found an exposed razor blade left behind in the washing machine. Additionally, the living room couch was broken and sagging in a few places, making it uncomfortable to use, and the toilet handle in the master bedroom was broken. On a positive note, the host did provide plenty of extra pillows and blankets, which was appreciated. To their credit, they were also communicative once notified of the issues and dispatched a cleaning crew the following day to address the hygiene concerns. The host also offered a partial refund for the unacceptable arrival conditions, though as of writing this review, I am still waiting for that refund to be processed. While we appreciated the host’s responsiveness in trying to make things right, the lack of pest control, furniture maintenance, and basic turnover cleanliness makes this difficult to recommend without significant improvements to their property management.

Very spacious for our large family. Nice big back yard. Great communication with host.

It’s a great house for a group!

Everything was perfect. The code to unlock the door took several times to open door. It would say unlocked but the door wouldn't open. It finally did but not consistent. That is all that was an issue
